I am a Detroit native, University of Arizona alumna, graduate of Debbie Millman’s Masters in Branding program, and currently call Los Angeles home – where I weave through the lanes of design and strategy on my bicycle as a visually obsessed coffee snob.

A true hybrid in the world of brand strategy, design and development; for the past ten years I have dedicated myself to absorbing the best skills that help me deliver the most effective results for my clients and teams. CREATIVE PROCESS

KNOWING HOW TO GET THERE IS HALF THE BATTLE

1.

Research

As designers, it is our responsibility to know everything about our clients and their dreams so that we can create meaningful work. From briefs to moodboard presentations, this is the grease to my gears.

2.

Brainstorm

No longer do we have to be in the same room or timezone with the help of Skype, Stormboard, and Niice – a great brainstorming is all about the team. I love spitballing wild and crazy ideas amongst an ocean of post-it notes.

3.

Sketch/Plan

I adore working and re-working pencil drawings, mashing things together from old ideas, and having the side of my hand covered in graphite. If I’m getting down and dirty with a website, this is the part where I rough out the framework and flow.

4.

Design

Bringing to life a few good concepts is the fun part. You’ll find me with headphones in my ears drawing, twisting and shaping the latest print or web project completely in the zone.

5.

Refinement/QC

eCommerce can be a real grizzly bear sometimes. Getting it to work smoothly, train clients, and move the project into the final phases takes a truly resourceful brain with an endless supply of plugins and code snippets to save the day.

6.

Present

Taught by the best of the best at the School of Visual Arts, I learned to speak with passion and conviction; and present well-founded insights and recommendations. In the office, I bridge departments by supporting work with relatable communication.
